Fair Oaks Farms

If you are ever looking for something different to do, I would recommend stopping at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, IN. If you take I-65 South, it is only about 40 minutes south of Merrillville, IN. On our way to Atlanta, we stopped there for breakfast. This dairy farm has won many awards and both serves and sells a wide variety of cheeses, milks, and all things dairy. We both enjoyed scrumptious cheddar cheese packed omelettes and coffee with fresh whipped cream. We just stopped in quickly for something to eat, but this place is very big and it appears that there are a lot of kid friendly activities like petting zoos and the chance to milk a cow, etc. Their website is www. fofarms.com if you are interested. Check it out!

Here is one of the barns at Fair Oaks Farms. There are many buildings, a restaurant and a gift shop as well.
