Dad & Diana's Wedding

April 4, 2009
Peace Lutheran Church
New Lenox, IL

Dad and Diana tied the knot on April 4th! Here are some pictures from the event. We were blessed with a beautiful day. It was in the mid 50's and sunny all day! The following day we actually had snow! The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was lots of fun.

The bride and groom! Looking good!

Here we are again.

Dad & Diana's Rehearsal Dinner

Dad and Diana's rehearsal dinner was (of course) the night before their wedding. Here are a few shots from the evening.

Pastor Dave explaining where Dad should stand and how everyone else will walk in.
(He also reminded the wedding party not to enjoy any cocktails or other alcoholic beverages in the morning before the wedding!)

Time for some dinner! Dad and Diana ordered wonderful Italian food from Pompeii downtown. We had pizza, lasagna, sausage with peppers, pasta with marinara and some other wonderful things. It was delicious! Here you can see Sue, Mike, Grandma and Dad in the background- Dennis, Liz and Dana closer to the front of the picture.

Starting with the little girl in pink and going around clockwise we have Katie, Colleen (Katie's mom), Jan (Colleen's mom), Payton (Colleen's older daughter), Liz and Emily. Dad joked that you could tell Jan use to be a preschool teacher because she had everyone sitting in a circle on the floor. Colleen, Payton, Katie and Jan came in from Canada for the wedding. (Jan is Diana's sister.)

Everything Is Amazing and Nobody Is Happy

I saw this clip a while ago and it not only cracked me up, but it shared a good message. It amazes me how people will whine about the stupidest things and act like the world owes them something because things didn't go exactly their way. Even I can catch myself whining about stupid things now and then, but I have learned to realize that we really have it pretty good. Stop whining and start being grateful for the things we do have! Things could be a whole lot worse! So Be Happy!
