Funny how the world keeps turnin'

I heard this song on the radio the other day and it made me laugh a little bit to myself. There are so many things I worry about - things that are beyond my control - and this song kind of said to me "Hey, just sit back and try to enjoy the ride. Whatever happens, the world is going to keep on turning."

Unfortunately I have always been "a worrier" but with a baby on the way I've come to think about how I want the world to be a better place for her - not a worse place. I know it's the same things my parents wanted for me too. In some aspects it is a better place. Technology has advanced a long way and as of right now, we still have our constitution. I worry about the current administration and what it's doing to our country. I keep thinking in the back of my mind "There is no way that these laws are going to get pushed through. They'd have to be crazy!" But there is a small part of me that worries about how our lives and our quality of living are going to change so dramatically if these proposed laws were to go through.

Again though, there is nothing I can do about it. So I guess I am sticking with the motto of "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." This song (as politically correct or incorrect as it may be) just kind of told me to "relax" and just keep moving forward. Try to live in the here and now and enjoy the moment and the liberties that I currently have. Instead of spending all of my time worrying about what my life or my children's lives will be like if these liberties are taken away, I will enjoy them now since I have them now.
