Valentine's Day

This year we had a special Valentine's Day. Dennis's parents were married on Valentine's Day 40 years ago so we celebrated their 40th anniversary along with birthdays for Dennis's cousins Justin (8) and Elise (10). It was nice to have the whole family together for the day. Here are a few pictures of the kids.

Rusty Update

As you may have seen from my post below, I had to take Rusty to the University of Illinois for some dental work earlier in the week. I am happy to report that he is making a great recovery. Although he had to have 18 teeth removed, he still has half of his teeth and has been able to eat normal meals and is back into his regular Rusty mood wagging his tail and running around the house. Thanks for everyone who called to check in on him! He is doing great!

2 Months Old!

Well Angelica is now TWO months old! Time is still flying by! We went to her 2 month checkup on Friday and learned that she is now 11 lbs 8 oz, and 23 1/2 inches long. Our little girl is growing! She is out of her 0-3 month clothes now and getting into the 3-6 month clothes. She is now rolling over from her tummy to her back, playing with some of her toys, and fully enjoying watching her mobile. She is smiling at us, looking around at things with a lot more focus and developing a little personality. Her sleeping is still a little random, but she is getting more time in at night, which is good for mommy and daddy.

So for all of our friends and relatives that don't live close by, you can catch up and see how our daughter is doing. Enjoy!

This is Elise and Angelica. Elise was the flower girl in our wedding. She is 10 years old now! Elise is Dennis's cousin Jennifer's daughter. I think this makes Elise and Angelica second cousins.

Here is Angelica laying around watching her mobile and shaking her rattle. She really enjoys laying in her crib and watching the mobile go around. She has them at her Grandma's houses too and always likes looking up and listening to the music.

This past week she has started to enjoy her bouncy chair more, but only when the music is on.

The past two weeks she has started to really enjoy her jungle gym (Thanks Nic & Rachele!) She is starting to grab at the toys and she can spend quite a bit of time happy laying there playing with the gym.

My Sister's Last Night Out!

February 13th, 2010

My sister is taking the plunge on Feb 27th! We celebrated her last night out in style. We started with a dinner party at my house. Then we got picked up by a limo and headed to Chicago to the Baton Room to watch a drag show and then off to Sam Maguires bar in Orland Park with entertainment provided by the band Rendition. Everyone had a great time. Here are some pictures from the evening.

Me and Lisa outside of the Baton Room. (Pictures weren't allowed inside.) The show was pretty good though. I didn't know what to expect, but the drag queens were very pretty and did a pretty superb job lip syncing and dancing. Everyone had fun.
